Doll fans of all ages will delight in the Tea with American Girl Caroline Abbot, Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.

Mount Clare is a 1760 colonial Georgian home built by one of Maryland’s leading patriots and one of Maryland’s first state senators, Charles Carroll, Barrister. Mount Clare was the center of Georgia Plantation, a self-sufficient plantation with a diverse community. Today, Mount Clare Museum House educates the public about all aspects of life on an 18th century plantation including the lives of enslaved Africans and indentured servants.

This makes Mount Claire Museum House an ideal location for a Tea with American Girl Caroline Abbott. During the War of 1812 Caroline’s father is kidnapped by the British. Learn about her life in the great lakes area during the War of 1812. Guests will enjoy hot chocolate and cookies and also make a historic craft inspired by the adventures of Caroline.
