Win an Overnight Stay in the Lehigh Valley, PA

This is your chance to win an overnight getaway in one of the most elegant and celebrated accommodations in the Lehigh Valley, the Historic Hotel Bethlehem. Boasting Palladian windows with dramatic views of the downtown district, the stately Historic Hotel Bethlehem has been restored to its original 1922 grandeur. Seven large murals by artist George Gray retell the history of Bethlehem, from its founding by Moravian brethren to its position as an industrial center. Classically styled guestrooms offer views of the city’s Main Street or the noted Bethlehem Star on South Mountain. Within blocks of the landmark hotel is an astounding mix of historic structures, both residential and commercial and glass and steel towers that pierce the sky. The hotel captures the essence of the city while catering to the needs of modern day travelers.

When I’m in Bethlehem, I like to stay in the Historic Bethlehem Hotel because right across Main Street is The Moravian Book Shop, the oldest bookstore in the world. It was founded in 1745 when the Moravian Church appointed Samuel Powell of the Church’s Crown Inn on the South Side of the Lehigh River to operate a book store. After several locations, the Moravian Book Shop was moved to the church’s publications building near the Central Moravian Church in 1871. It is so much more than a book store, and its café, gourmet foods, music and gifts departments allow me to spend several hours happily browsing.

Main Street is a central hub of Bethlehem, and visitors can easily stroll to restaurants, historic sites, and more shops and boutiques.

In addition to an overnight stay with breakfast for two at the Historic Hotel Bethlehem, contest winners will receive a $50 gift card to the Edge for dinner. Located in the heart of downtown, Edge delivers a wonderful dining experience in a casual upscale atmosphere. Chef Timothy Widrick uses French and Asian influences in his classic to modern cuisine.
