On Saturday, May 17, from noon to 5 pm, Rockingham State Historic Site will offer its Annual Children’s Day. The site, which served as General George Washington’s final wartime headquarters in later 1783, will be offering activities and demonstrations of 18th-century life. This year children will have the opportunity to play historic games like Battledore & Shuttlecock and Trap Ball, an early form of baseball or try crafts such as making paper aprons and paper baskets.
